Nursing Program at Penn State Becomes Own School
2008-05-22 17:30Penn State has finally caught up with the other big schools and separated the nursing program into it's own school. This means the nursing school will now have their own dean and will operate separately from other health programs. This means they will be able to increase enrollment with the extra funding they will receive.
This is important because nursing enrollment has increased tremendously and the health care industry needs as many nurses as they can get. The nursing shortage is getting even more serious as the days go by. It's exciting to see Penn State handle it so well, but let's see if other school follow suit.
