New Hampshire Schools Working to Increase Nursing Programs
2008-05-15 17:49Franklin Pierce University recently received a federal grant for the nursing program. This is a program to try to curb the growing nursing shortage that is lingering. The grant was 146,000 dollars and is focused on offering nurses advanced degrees. This is because a recent study showed that the problem is compounded because nurses have a hard time getting advanced degrees.
Another school, New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord has also received funding. They are using it create a new building to bring in 50 more nursing students. It turns out that Charles Bass, a former US rep, did a significant part in getting this funding. The funding was supported by various organizations from students to companies.
