Lacking of Funding in California
2008-05-15 17:50Imagine if you're a hardworking students who gets a equal mixture of As and Bs, but finds that you are mot of the applying group gets rejected. This happened at the CSU Channel Islands in Camarillo. 312 students applied but only 276 were accepted.
This problem is that it is a public school and requires funding from the government. The problem is that there is a 16 billion dollar deficit in the state of California which only let the school accept 37 students for a 3 year program. The sad part is that most of the candidates rejected would make great nurses. The only question is how can nursing schools get more funding when it's competing with all types of schools like elementary schools.
